1 note
You know what’s the worst? Plans. Plans never go according to the actual plan. Plans to sleep warm & hard after a night of working. Literally, a night of working (9pm-6am+.) Plans to have breakfast tomorrow morning or plans to see a movie at the hour I plan to see it at. Did you know, that before Hitchcock released Psycho into theaters, people went to the movies whenever they wanted? They came in 15 minutes early, or 40 minutes late. They just..showed up. But he made it a rule with Psycho that if you didn’t show up on the dot, you’d be locked out. He wanted you to get the whole experience. Crazy, huh?
But do you know what’s the best? Being surprised. It’s like Sandre Lerche says, no… Not “kickin’ the burger to the moon,” even though he loves to say that too. He says, “Baby, you better plan to be surprised.” And well, that’s just the best truth after all.
At the end of the day, whether my plans to get my clothes back from a friend happens or not (although, it BETTER) or it rains tomorrow at the beach, or the sun doesn’t set or I don’t wake up at all… It’s all part of God’s bigger plan for my life. And well, I’ll rest feeling better about that, now won’t I?
no expectations no expectations no expectations no expectations.
Now let’s get this week rollin’.
